Whiteboards don't scale Small Group PT.
The industry answered with calendars. The session still lived on the floor. Kai builds for what happens inside the session, for UK boutique studios.
The story behind Kai
The Problem
Small Group PT economics work until the coach is juggling whiteboards, phones, and a diary that stops at check-in. Studio software booked the hour and took payment; the session itself still lived on paper and improvisation.
The Discovery
Working with boutique studios, the pattern was the same: calendars and payments were covered; the session still ran on whiteboards and memory. Ops tools existed. The floor story didn't.
The Solution
So we built for the floor: personalised programmes in the same session, coach oversight while it's live, and a clear summary at the close, with scheduling, payments, and a free member app underneath. Same ops studios still need. A session story that doesn't stop at check-in.
Why the name Kai?
Kai comes from Kaizen, the Japanese idea of continuous improvement (“change for the better”). It’s the same mindset we build with: small, steady steps with our partners, always improving. That’s the story behind the name.
Our Partnership Model
We're a small team without investments, which means we work closely with our partners, coaches, and even their members to understand what we can improve. When you succeed, we succeed. That's the partnership model that drives everything we build.
